The shorts are built around Castelli’s special KISS Tri seat pad, which is made with soft yet slender and quick-drying layer of foam to keep you comfortable on the bike, without getting in the way on the swim and run legs.
Constructed using smooth, flat-lock stitching, they feature unrestrictive raw-cut leg endings, with minimalist, integrated silicone grippers to hold the legs in place, and include a small pocket at the back for your gels.
Last but not least, these shorts have a SnapLock fastener at the waist that will let you join them to the Castelli Free race top for the swim and bike layers, to achieve similar marginal gains to a one-piece suit. Unlike with a speed suit, though, you can unclip them again on the run leg, to encourage much-needed airflow and heat loss.
