- The original Forekaster was designed as a wet weather option for XC, while the new version is aimed squarely at modern short travel (100mm-130mm) trail bikes - also known as the downcountry segment. Intended to be the Goldilocks of MTB tyres, the new Forekaster rolls fast while providing solid cornering and braking traction across a broad range of trail conditions. Features include a densely packed tread pattern to increase rolling efficiency, taller side knobs to improve cornering grip, and raised ridges on the casing to promote mud clearing.

- An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tyres. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.
- EXO+
- EXO+ construction combines two of Maxxis' best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer runs from bead-to-bead with a layer of EXO along the sidewalls. Combined, these materials create EXO+ which improves tread puncture protection by 27%, sidewall durability by 51%, and resistance to pinch flats by 28%.
- Tubeless Ready
- Tubeless tyres provide several benefits, including the ability to run lower air pressures for improved traction, lower rolling resistance compared to tube-type tyres, and reduced risk of punctures as there is no inner tube. Liquid sealants should only be used in Tubeless Road, Tubular, and Tubeless Ready tyres. The use of liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tyre will void the warranty.
