The Maxxis Aspen pushes the limits of lightweight XC performance with minimal rolling resistance. The Aspen features a high-volume casing to smooth out the roughest roots and rocks, while the dual compounds provide optimal traction through the corners. If crossing the finish line first is your top priority, the Aspen was designed for you.

MaxxSpeed
Introduced in 2023, MaxxSpeed is an all-new compound for the Maxxis cross-country (XC) range. Using silica as a filler within the rubber polymer, MaxxSpeed delivers lower rolling resistance and improved wet-weather traction compared with the previous 3C MaxxSpeed compound.

EXO
EXO is an extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of selected mountain bike tyres. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring tyre performance remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky and technical trails where the risk of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.

Wide Trail
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tyre tread layout and profile for today's wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around narrower rims and can create an overly square tyre profile, reducing performance. WT tyres are optimised for a 30 mm internal rim width but are proven to work with internal rim widths between 25 mm and 30 mm, depending on rider preference.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless Ready tyres allow lower tyre pressures for improved traction, lower rolling resistance compared with tube-type tyres, and a reduced risk of punctures because there is no inner tube. Liquid sealants should only be used with Tubeless Road, Tubular and Tubeless Ready tyres. Using liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tyre will void the warranty.
