Longing for unseen placesâ¦
We worked closely with Kinesis ambassador Emma Osenton for the last few years to create a bike-packing MTB frame that would withstand the toughest of adventure rides. The result is the Fernweh.
A true go-anywhere do-anything frame, the Fernweh is built from lightweight cold-drawn seamless 3Al/2.5V titanium tubing for ultimate strength and rider comfort.
In 2018 Emma rode the gruelling Grenzsteintrophy along the old EastâWest German border patrol track, which helped define this project. Emma helped fine-tune the frame design to ensure good fit for the rider and, just as vital, for all the essential gear you need to take. She also came up with the name Fernweh â which is a German word meaning âa longing for far off placesâ.
We wanted it to be tough and reliable, yet as comfortable, efficient, and lightweight as possible. If this was a car it would be a ParisâDakar rally car. How far will you take it?
